Definition	The Bathing Water Quality reporting under Directive 2006/7/EC includes information on: 1) the characterisation of each bathing water; 2) the duration of the bathing season, short-term pollution events, abnormal situations, etc.; 3) the monitoring results obtained in the previous bathing season on two parameters (intestinal enterococci and Escherichia coli).
Methodology for obtaining data	The bathing water quality data must be compiled from the existing national and/or regional monitoring networks and collected according to the criteria described in the Directive 2006/7/EC.
